Most of us feel nervous & awkward being photographed, and it's not a feeling you want on your wedding day. 99% of my people arrive at a shoot and say "I have no idea what I'm doing, I'm so awkward in front of a camera" Trust in the fact that I do this every day; I'll always prompt and direct you and never ask you to do something that feels wrong, uncomfortable or leave you hanging with no idea what you should be doing next. Engagement sessions will leave you and your love feeling a lot more chill when it comes to wedding day photos

If you are considering hiring me as your wedding photographer an engagement sesh is the best way for us to get to know each other! You will be able to see how I work, direct you, and create those magic moments that produce your images. It's important we all vibe and you are relaxed and confident that you will be in good hands on your wedding day. When your gallery is complete we can chat about which images you love and any you don't love quite so much so that I have a super clear understanding of what you want your wedding photos to reflect.

This is such a beautiful time! You'll possibly never be as young and cute and full of giggly, silly, nervous excitement again! Embrace it! (Lots of exclamation marks here...!) Heck, the world can be crap sometimes and you'll likely face hardships as the years go by, what a valuable gift it is to be able to look back at these photos and be swept back to that day when you had nothing more important to do than give each other piggy backs around a field or spray champagne all over the place, or waltz in the middle of the street, or pash like kids in the corner of your favourite cafe... you get the picture, I get excited by this!

What makes me just as proud as being able to give you beautiful, meaningful photographs is being able to give you a complete experience you thoroughly enjoy. I can honestly say that even the most unenthusiastic of clients (it's ok- I know most fellas have been dragged there against their will) always leave our sessions saying that they actually really enjoyed it and are so glad they did it! There really is no pressure on you, engagement sessions are a chance to play around with your partner and have fun together - think of it as a date!
